Using Talent Processes to Drive Business Results

with Andrea (Moore) Butcher

Friday, September 16th, 2016

The value of talent processes is not having the process—the value is in the connectedness, integration, and focus of processes to move the business forward. In this session, leaders within the Talent Development team at DEFENDERS will highlight how DEFENDERS uses the outcomes of talent processes such as performance management, talent review, and succession planning to focus and direct specific talent development choices to drive business results. DEFENDERS is a growing business and the talent bar has been raised—through the intentionality of targeted development, the team has made talent projections that will drive the business forward. The outcomes are realized through the strong execution, follow-through, and connection of the talent processes, so the DEFENDERS team will provide an overview of their simple, yet highly effective talent processes and review the process they used to synthesize information and focus development efforts.

Session Objectives:

  • Discuss the why behind talent processes at DEFENDERS
  • Show the value in the connectedness of key talent processes—performance management, talent review, and succession planning
  • Provide an overview of the outcomes of key talent processes and how DEFENDERS uses the outcomes to determine development actions and investment
