Session Description

Fear is a natural and powerful emotion. No one likes to be afraid. But what if you as a learning and development professional can turn fear into the fuel to increase engagement and accelerate growth?

Don’t be afraid to join us for this interactive learning experience to understand the psychology of the learner and how fear limits the ability to learn effectively. Shine a light on dozens of techniques that you can apply immediately to your next training event. Walk out of this session with a new sense of bravery and empowerment knowing that fear is no longer your foe, but your friend.

As attendees to this program, members will 

•  Describe the psychological impact of fear and it’s limitations in learning

•  Demonstrate the application of the FEAR model (Facilitate, Empathize, Acknowledge, Reward) to unlock the motivation for accelerated learning

• Recall how fear can be reframed into a positive motivator for change

• Recognize clues from your learners that fear is a present factor
